Off late there’s been a lot of emphasis on the way operating systems look. I mean the concept of eye candy and glossy GUI has changed the way operating system look. It began with Apple and the design concept of Mac. But the looks have taken a lot of priority off late. And now the whole talk about the new upcoming release of Vista which redefines graphical user interface.
However, this whole concept of GUI is no more restricted to Operation Systems, things are moving into other softwares as well. The new release of Adobe Creative Suite 4 refines the look and feel of softwares. And then there are browsers like Opera which are not just advanced functionally, but are also eye cady with a little bit of creativity.
Firefox has not been behind. the concept of themes in Firefox came much earlier and you could make your favorite browser look amazingly eye candy. However, Firefox is no more dependent on themes to be eye candy. There are already plans of integrating 3D wall feature in next release of Firefox 3.1. However, with a small extension you can still achieve this.

Stack – Tabs are 3D-stacked one behind the other.
Wall – Tabs are displayed on a wall (similar to a TV store).
Grid – Tabs are aligned on a grid.
Row – Tabs are arranged horizontally.
Circle – Tabs are placed around a 3D circle.
